Timeline: 2024-2026

This renovation transformed an existing campus facility into a modern student engagement hub featuring podcast studios, presentation spaces, and a full green screen room. Travis applied a specialized AcoustiBuilt® sound-dampening ceiling system, enhancing acoustic performance across key collaboration areas — a critical feature for media production environments. The team also restored original architectural decorative metal screens from the building’s 1960s design, preserving a historic element while integrating it into a contemporary interior. These upgrades balanced modern functionality with respect for the building’s legacy.

During the renovation, Travis helped solve a key challenge: how to upgrade performance and aesthetics without compromising historic features or construction timelines. Decorative metal screens were removed, power washed, prepped, primed, and finished offsite for superior quality control before being reinstalled. This approach reduced disruption onsite and ensured a higher-end finish than traditional field painting methods. Combined with specialty acoustic treatments and precision finishing throughout the facility, the result was a space ready to support student creativity, communication, and collaboration for years to come.
