♦ What we did
At Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant, J.E. Travis Painting stained the brick on the sky bridge and the parking garage. The product was PermaTint, a specialty masonry stain sourced from Canada. It was newer to the team. It went on without trouble and delivered strong results.
The work took tired, dingy masonry and gave it a cleaner, brighter face that fits a major healthcare campus. The garage alone ran about six months.
The stain was the easy part. Keeping a hospital moving around it was the job.
♦ The Challenges
The stain wasn’t the hard part. The site was. The hospital stayed active, so the work was phased to protect parked cars and keep deliveries moving under the bridge. Boom lifts worked in tight quarters with constant parking control and coordination with traffic and hospital operations. A long schedule also meant working through weather shifts without losing ground.
