1900 Wealth is custom millwork for a wealth management office in downtown San Antonio: reception, conference room, and break room, with doors designed in house.

The 1900 Wealth Millwork Scope
♦ What we did
Travis Millwork built the front reception desk, with its countertops and metal toe kick, and the wood wall behind the 1900 Wealth sign. The signage came from another trade. Travis cut a groove into the wall so the light can shine down on the sign at a set angle.
In the conference room, the crew built two floor to ceiling walls with cabinets. One cabinet houses a subwoofer, so the face has a cutout, the toe kick has an opening for air to move, and an access panel opens into the cabinet. The scope also covered column covers and the break room cabinets.
♦ The Challenges
The material and the doors. The architect wanted a high end walnut veneer, so Travis sat down with them and planned how each flitch would lay up in the walls. The material was ordered to that plan, and every delivery was approved before it was used. The cabinets called for one inch skinny rail shaker doors. Travis Design and Engineering drew a custom door structure so they would still hang and operate properly on the right hinges.
